Latin Dances, Rupi Kair's performative poetry, the art of basketball and the music of Jimi Hendrix, were the topics of four interesting presentations with one connecting thread, the students' passion for their chosen theme. Although they all seemed divergent in their content, they brought to the class a healthy sense of scholarship visible in the way they researched, planned, and presented their findings.
Latin Dance: Cynthia, Adeijah, Yunier, Aylin
Rupi Kair: Michelle, Guillermo, Salma, Sofia, Ruby, Regla
History of Art in Basketball: Alexis, Joshua, Andrew, O. Dominguez
Jimi Hendrix: Karla, Damian, Tabitha, Denise, Enrique

Feedback
"My thoughts about the presentation; they where amazing. I think these groups projected real knowledge. They really led the way in using what they knew about different types of art to make their presentations interesting. This has been one of the best classes that I have ever taken, and I thank you for all the knowledge that I have been able to acquire." Iran
"The first group that went did their art presentation on different types of Latin dances and I enjoyed this so much. I liked their technique of breaking the ice but also allowing everybody to participate. They explained where each dance originated, bachata, merengue salsa and tango included. Not only that, but they performed how each is style is danced. I enjoyed their presentation very much. As for the second group it was my groups turn to go and I think it went really well. Progressing to the next group, their presentation was based on basketball and I loved how they started off by describing the meaning of art. It made more sense then. They did very well on explaining the position and contrasting how it used to be before; they even showed how the basketball ball looked. The group also presented famous players, their history and when they started being famous and known. The fourth and last group for the day, did their presentation on Jimi Hendrix, a well known artist that composed music. Their presentation was very informative and educational because, being honest, I did not know who Jimi Hendrix was." Ruby
